Job Summary

The Neural Circuit Engineering and Garcia Labs are seeking a post-Doctoral Fellow interested in understanding how sensorimotor circuits develop

Essential Functions

  • Lead a project on circuit development - Design and perform 2P microcopy experiments - Analyze and disseminate data
  • Perform additional wet-lab experiments - Participate in and support multiple team projects
  • Work with and train graduate and undergraduate students - Perform all work following the highest research standards

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or Doctorate
  • Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Biology or a related
  • At least 4 years of neuroscience or neuroengineering research experience
  • Experience with computational languages such as MATLAB and python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of imaging (confocal/2P/etc.) and image data analysis experience. 
  • A background in neural development
  • A background in glia
  • Experience with 2P microscopy
  • Experience with Drosophila melanogaster and an understanding of Drosophila genetics
