Department Summary
The University of North Texas (UNT) is a Carnegie R1 research university and a federally designated Hispanic-Serving Institution and Minority-Serving Institution, with a diverse population of over 40,000 students. Our department has 17 research-active tenured or tenure-track faculty, with plans to grow to 20-25 faculty over the next few years.  UNT Chemistry is known nationally and internationally for the quality of its research, with particular strengths in computational/theoretical chemistry and materials chemistry, and a growing emphasis in chemical biology.

Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to conduct research in the area of advanced photo- and electrochemical science. The postdoctoral scientist will plan and execute experiments involving femto- and nanosecond pump-probe spectroscopy, electroanalytical chemistry, spectroelectrochemistry, and spectroscopy, contribute to writing proposals and papers, help to maintain laboratory equipment, and contribute to the training and supervision of graduate and undergraduate students.
Minimum Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Chemistry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in time-resolved emission and pump-probe spectroscopy
• Skills in Electrochemistry and spectroelectrochemistry
• Valuable know-how: DFT calculations and chemical synthesis
