Posting Summary
The Postdoctoral Associate for the New Jersey Autism Center of Excellence will help with all tasks of the center in its last year of tenure. These consist of (1) Help coordinate tasks related to the certification program under development (compile relevant scientific literature and materials, help PI with course development coordination of speakers and recordings, maintain all documentation on google site); (2) Help with STEM related activities such as coordinating speakers, gathering literature, meta analyses of literature, organization of STEM conference; (3) Data gathering from digital profiling in collaboration with IT and assistant to the PI office. (4) Prepare the NJACE quarterly reports. (5) Marketing and coordinating social media postings.
*This is a grant funded position.
COVID-19 Immunization Requirement
Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility . Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine . Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
PhD necessary. Preferably, knowledge of Behavioral Neuroscience, Neuromotor control, Developmental Neuroscience. Good organizational skills.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Drivers’ license will be required as driving to places across the state will be necessary. Knowledge of basic motor control research is desirable (kinematics, biosensors, neurodevelopment, etc.)
Knowledge of MATLAB, R, Python, or other platforms for analyses is desirable. Knowledge of CANVAS, Kaltura, etc. will be desirable (can be acquired upon hiring.) Good coordination skills are necessary to interface with different organizations statewide. Autism related knowledge is desirable but not required, as most of what needs to be done can be done without such knowledge.
Equipment Utilized
Biosensors, data acquisition systems (turnkey equipment for which training will be provided), PC or macs related Office suite.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Good navigation and driving skills as the position will require driving to different locations across the state.
