Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Fellow will assist in reconstructing the phylogeny of Hemiptera using generated AHE data, Sanger data, morphological and other data.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Evolutionary Biology work: DNA extraction, preparation of plates of extractions for shipment to external sequencing company, post sequencing data processing, generation of datasets from AHE pipeline, phylogenetic reconstruction, other analyses. Morphology work: SEM imaging, CT scanning.
- Collaborative capacity building: hosting workshops to train others in basic evolutionary analyses, coordinating workshops on morphological data capture, co-mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
- Communicating Science: Writing of scientific manuscripts, presenting data at conferences, outreach activities.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with genetic and morphological data would be very beneficial.
- Previous experience with phylogenetics would be very helpful.
