Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Tutor students from Spanish 1010,1020,2010,2020,1300,1900,2300,2900 classes. Some front desk work, Should open or close the Language Center at least one day per week.
Preferred Qualifications
SLCC student, Spanish language teaching or tutoring, good computer skills
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Native or near native fluency in Spanish, familiar with Hispanic culture, basic computer skills.
Civility and urbanity are essential attributes of the incumbent.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.

Special Instructions
Work-study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal College Work-Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office. If you do not have work-study awarded to you, you will not be eligible for work under work-study positions.
