Summary of Job Duties:

A full-time post-doctoral associate position is available in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Arkansas. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating cellular processes underlying plant immunity using Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana benthamiana and rice.


Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
A PhD in plant pathology, molecular biology, cell biology or biochemistry is required.
Desired qualifications:
Experience using confocal microscopy and tools for image analysis, competence in protein biochemistry and gene expression analysis.
It is also expected that the applicant will write manuscripts, present results at national and international conferences and, contribute in the writing of grant proposals. The applicant should have the ability to work as member of the team and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
