Full Job Description
We are seeking a postdoctoral research associate to join the laboratory of Drs. Barry Stein and Benjamin Rowland in the Department of Neurobiology & Anatomy at Wake Forest School of Medicine. Ongoing projects include the development and plasticity of sensory and multisensory (visual, auditory, somatosensory) neurons in cortex and superior colliculus, their impact on overt behavior, and the use of multisensory training to ameliorate hemianopia in human patients. Education and Experience: A PhD in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Psychology, or a related field. Computer skills and experience with data analysis are essential. Experience handling animals, performing single neuron electrophysiology, and using psychophysical techniques is ideal. Salary is commensurate with NIH guidelines. The candidate will have access to a highly collaborative environment, with a wide array of state-of-the-art facilities and internationally recognized faculty.
