Lecturer Salary from £34,304 p.a
Senior Lecturer Salary from £39,739 p.a

The level of appointment would be determined by the selection panel following an interview.

The School of Art and Design offers an impressive portfolio of courses covering the full spectrum of Art and Design specialisms. Renowned for the quality of our teaching and research, we can offer a vibrant atmosphere that encourages creativity, as well as academic excellence.

The Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication department houses fashion business courses covering the full spectrum of the commercial side of fashion at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses recruit high calibre students with strong academic and creative abilities and are designed to develop these talents to ensure our graduate’s unique combinations of skills are well suited for the fashion/lifestyle arena in which they will work.

We are seeking an experienced academic or industry specialist with background in the global fashion industry, with knowledge of Fashion Management with specific focus on product technology, and digital fashion. You will hold a relevant degree in a related subject area, ideally coupled with postgraduate qualifications or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development. A qualification in the HE sector is also an advantage.

You will possess an excellent understanding of the subject as well as knowledge of the current professional practice within the fashion and associated industries and an ability to communicate this knowledge to others. As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer you will teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses to further strengthen the team. You will also be required to contribute to a range of modules across the subject area and should be able to offer the required attributes as detailed in the attached person specification.
