Job Description

Class Description

The purpose of this class is to assist the Registrar’s unit and supervisor with maintaining and ensuring day by day data integrity for enrollment and reporting for the College.

Minimum Requirements

Associate’s Degree required, degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred. Five (5) years related experience in generating data reports and/or data management, preferably working in a registrar’s office, admissions, recruitment, or financial aid setting and knowledge of a wide range of web technologies, web site usability; familiarity with software packages and applications which may include Windows, CSS, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, one drive) Banner, Pop sel, and Banner extender. 

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Generate, prepare, analyze and provide reports as requested by the Registrar’s Management team for presentations, data comparisons and future analysis.
  2. Develop documentation and provide training for existing and new data entry and analysis procedures for the unit as required.
  3. Serve as liaison between EM departments, IT, academic schools, faculty and/or staff, as required for enrollment purposes.
  4. Create and submit IT work orders and project requests to petition for new or improvements to reports/systems.

Position Specific Essential Duties

  1. Responsible for the maintenance/execution of changes to on-line applications, table updates to facilitate semester start-up process for CCBC new students, including Statewide and Health Manpower Programs.
  2. Assist the Registrar Management Team with all report needs critical to internal and external reporting. Reports include but are not limited to MHEC requirements, such as Statewide/Health Manpower State Report, National Student Clearing House, and comparative data analysis collection for schedule analysis related to course supply and demand and course cancellation data.
  3. Support the Registrar Management team with Banner maintenance, testing, and upgrades. Troubleshoot technical problems within Banner, SIMON, and Quick Registration software.
  4. Responsible for researching and resolving student ID issues, including but not limited to duplicate PIDMs.
  5. Facilitate, execute, and analyze college wide enrollment processes for CCBC, working closely with the Bursar and Financial Aid Offices. These processes include but are not limited to Cancel for Non Payment procedure, Cancel Courses process, Admission Residency report, Deans List and Academic Standing.
  6. Provide back-up support for technological initiatives within Registrar’s Office. 
  7. Create and produce standard Banner operation procedures pertaining to all functions such as and not limited to registration, application processing, scanning and indexing, grades, graduation, etc.
  8. Provide back up support with testing, implementing and maintaining curriculum regulations (CPOS) for compliance with Registrar and financial aid regulations.
