Full Job Description

The Department of Biochemistry at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, SUNY Buffalo, located at the downtown campus, has an open NIH funded Postdoctoral position in Dr. Michael Buck’s research lab to study how epigenetics impacts gene regulation and expression. Projects include determining how developmental transcription factors bind at nucleosome occluded regulatory regions with genomic assays (ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq) and in vitro nucleosome binding assays. The postdoctoral associate will have freedom to design and implement their own research project.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Assisting in designing research methodologies
  • Analysis of genetic datasets
  • Solving Research Problems
  • Prepare research results for publication in scholarly journals

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics or a related field.
