Job Summary:
Are you a highly detail-oriented, computer savvy individual who enjoys working with multiple software platforms? If so, KVCC may have a great opportunity for you. Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full-time Systems Analyst/Developer that will be responsible for exploring, analyzing, testing, debugging, implementing, developing and supporting college systems, servers, software and databases. Additional job responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to computer center staff, computer lab staff, faculty and learning technologies staff.
- Assisting other staff members with information technology projects.
- Working with a broad range of technologies used at the college, but may be focused on web development, systems integration and management, programming and development and/or maintenance of the college ERP and associated databases.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Fluency with server operating systems and installation and maintenance of web servers and database servers.
- Knowledge of web application languages.
- Knowledge of procedural or object oriented programming techniques, and languages.
- Knowledge of database languages.
- Hardware, software and network troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to individually solve problems and create solutions, both technically and procedurally
- Ability to understand, create and update documentation and manuals.
- Ability to teach others to use computer systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate education, training, and experience are required. An example of this would be an Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or a directly related field, and experience equivalent to one year in the information technology field.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
The following experience is preferred:
- Experience and working knowledge of software installation and upgrades
- Experience with upgrades and deployment of ERP Systems
- Experience with end-user support for ERP Systems
- Experience with configuring and supporting authentication systems
- Experience with building and maintaining in-house applications using a variety of programming and scripting languages (example: PHP, C#, Go, Python)

Work Hours:
Core business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm. May be required to work extend hours for system upgrades and emergencies.
