Purpose/Summary

Purpose/Summary of Job: The Economics discipline exists within the Social & Behavioral Sciences Pathways and adjunct instructors report to the Economics Program Chair. Adjunct instructors work collaboratively with other discipline faculty, instruct courses in Micro and Macro Economics, and share in the leadership of the department and college.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Adjunct Instructor for Economics is responsible for teaching part-time within the program. A successful Adjunct instructor commands strong teaching skills and models a quality-learning environment to support a diverse student population. Instructors should incorporate pedagogically appropriate, current technology within classroom and distance learning, as well as utilize learning platforms and college databases.

Qualifications

Education: The successful Adjunct Instructor for Economics must have a Master’s degree in Economics or related Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline to be taught.
