Job Description

National Park College invites applications for a full time position as a 9-month Assistant Professor of Psychology. This position will be responsible for delivering quality instruction in General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology. Teaching responsibilities are 15 credit hours per semester with the opportunity to teach an overload each semester or to teach in the summer if there is sufficient student demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester with the opportunity to teach an overload each semester or to teach in the summer if there is sufficient student demand.
  • Improve student success through college and divisional assessment process
  • Assist in the accreditation process by writing self-study, maintaining appropriate external reporting chart data, and adhering to appropriate reporting deadlines
  • Serve on committees as needed
  • Maintain office hours
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in or higher in Psychology, or hold a Master’s degree in a related field and 18 graduate hours in Psychology
  • Three years of teaching at the post-secondary level with preference given to community college experience, experience using available technology such as D2L Brightspace or other LMS, potential for teaching online courses
