DUTIES:
The Wang laboratory in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology has openings for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the molecular mechanisms of ischemia reperfusion in the stimulation of graft dysfunction and long-term graft survival. The lab utilizes rodent experimental models, preclinical animi transplantation models (pigs), and a wide array of techniques such as single cell RNAseq, real-time PCR, reporter assays, immunoblotting, IHC/ICC, gene knockdown, and big data analysis human specimens. The Wang lab is seeking an energetic, self-motivated and creative individual who is proficient in the theoretical and practical aspects of rodent models, molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology. QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited intuition and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization. Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. or MD/PhD. With experience in micro-surgery is highly desirable.
Research experience in RNAseq, primary cell culture, nanotechnology and confocal imaging are a plus.
