Summary of Job Duties:
  • Conduct simulations studies to optimize genomic prediction and GWAS models;
  • Develop new molecular breeding methods;
  • Develop R packages and Shiny Apps;
  • Publication of scholarly works;
  • Occasional statistical consulting, designing and analyzing experiments, and grant writing;

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD. in Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in R or other programming languages (e.g., Python).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful applicants should be highly motivated and creative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to publish original research in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Previous experience using genomic data for mapping and/or prediction.
