Job Description

Niagara County Community College has a need for a part time Health Education Instructor to teach various health education courses This position will be responsible for teaching students throughout the academic semester who are enrolled at Niagara County Community College.

Remuneration for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $854 per lecture hour/$765 per lab hour.

Niagara County Community College is doing its part to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus within our work environment and requiring that all faculty employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Therefore, the candidate that is selected for hire of the position must show proof of vaccination status to the Human Resources office after an offer of employment is accepted. Typical Work Activities
  • Teach courses in the delivery format agreed upon (on campus, hybrid, blended or online)
  • Track attendance as needed
  • Complete census reports
  • Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester
  • Report grades at the conclusion of the semester
Essential Functions
Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health, Health Education, Human Performance or related field to teach health related classes in the Health & Physical Education Department.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Health, Health Education of Health-related field;
  • Previous teaching experience at a community college or 4-year college/university.
  • Remote learning teaching experience.
  • Experience with the BlackBoard learning management system.
