Description and Responsibilities:

Open Sky Community Services is seeking an Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive leadership within a dynamic, diverse, and innovative human service organization. The CFO is responsible for all financial matters and aligning financial systems with the mission vision and strategy of the organization. They will help lead and guide the organization through a rapidly evolving landscape of health and human services ensuring financial and strategic success.

The CFO will report to the President & CEO and work closely with leaders across the organization to help drive the strategic and financial vision and develop and implement successful business strategies across the organization. The CFO will lead, coach and supervise the finance team and real estate operations, with a team including the Controller, VP of Finance, and the VP of Real Estate Operations. Additionally, the CFO will engage and support the finance committee of the Board of Directors and help lead board finance meetings.

The ideal candidate for this role is an exceptional leader with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment. They have worked as a true business partner to the CEO, COO and/or other leaders in a multi-faceted organization, preferably in the health and human services field. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strategic insight and consultation to the President & CEO, COO, Board of Directors, Senior Leadership, and other key stakeholders on financial and organizational matters, and suggest proactive strategies to keep Open Sky a financially healthy organization.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, annual budget cycle, revenue cycle management, and long-term financial planning in alignment with agency's Strategic Plan.
  • As the organization's service delivery evolves within a population health framework, including outcomes-based, risk-based, and value-based reimbursement, the CFO will lead the process of creating financial models necessary for organizational sustainability
  • Oversee insurance programs, cash investment management, cash forecasting, banking relationships, and all contract and debt arrangements.
  • Develop tools and systems to help the organization analyze, assess and navigate performance data as part of service line portfolio management; make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
  • Oversee the real estate operations of the organization, including implementing strategic vision around the agency's portfolio of over 100 properties.

Qualifications:

  • MBA (Master's in Business Administration) in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent required. CPA licensure is preferred.
  • 10 or more years' experience in senior management, leading and overseeing financial functions within a diverse, complex organization. Experience within nonprofit health and/or human services organizations preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
