As a Mission-Level Modeling and Simulation Analyst...

  • Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate precision strike systems effectiveness using an assortment of mission-level analysis tools with the goal of discovering useful data, informing conclusions, and supporting decision-making.

  • Your work will regularly put you on-site with our sponsors at Eglin Air Force base to provide technical recommendations and direction as well as develop and integrate analytical capabilities.

  • You will have the opportunity to present your work through briefings to both technical specialists and pivotal decision makers.

  • You can engage in independent research projects that encourage creative solutions and reward independent initiative.

 


Qualifications

 

You will meet our minimum qualification for the job if you...

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Have at least one year of relevant experience working in the Mission-Level Modeling, Simulation & Analysis domain.

  • Are able to effectively work in a highly collaborative environment and communicate sophisticated ideas directly with government civilians, military officers, and other contractors.

  • Are skilled in conducting quantitative analysis, learning new and exciting concepts, and effectively communicating sophisticated ideas to a variety of partners.

  • Have strong scripting and programming skills with any of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, C/C++, FORTRAN, or Java.

  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To ensure the safety and well-being of the community, APL has established a policy requiring that all staff be vaccinated against COVID-19. All staff members must provide proof of full vaccination or have an approved medical or religious accommodation by their start date.

 

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Have experience conducting Mission-Level Strike Warfare Analysis using tools such as AFSIM, Brawler, Suppressor, JIMM, or EADSIM.

  • Have an active Top-Secret security clearance.
