Full-time, benefited 9 month position

JOB DESCRIPTION: Dakota College at Bottineau is seeking an instructor to teach courses in agriculture, horticulture, and related fields to undergraduate students in associate degree programs. Advising students, curriculum development, outcomes assessment, institutional committee work, program promotion, distance delivery of coursework, and community service and outreach are inherent to the position. The instructor will also take a leadership role in special projects involving the program such as pursuing grants, grant activities, and working with potential donors.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in a field of agriculture, horticulture, or related field. Successful teaching experience at the secondary or college level or equivalent professional experience.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Master’s degree in a field of agriculture, horticulture, or related field and experience teaching college-level introductory agriculture, horticulture and/or related courses. Experience with greenhouse management/operations and grant management.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Successful applicant will be required to pass a criminal history background investigation prior to employment.

SALARY: Open, depending on academic preparation and experience.
