Full Job Description

The UCI Counseling Center is currently seeking one Postdoctoral Fellow with a focus on BIPOC students. The individuals in this position will receive clinical supervision necessary to accrue post-doctoral hours required for CA psychology licensure.

A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited academic program and an APA accredited internship program must be completed prior to the date of hire.

In this position the Postdoctoral Fellow will provide and/or participate in the following:

  • Individual, group, relationship, and family psychotherapy.
  • Crisis intervention services and technological interventions.
  • Case management.
  • Conduct intake assessments.
  • Participate in case conference meetings.
  • Develop and/or participate in a special project within the focus of working with African American/Black student community, Center for Black Cultures, Resources, & Research (CBCRR), Cross Cultural Center, and other relevant identity spaces/programs.
  • Provide campus-based consultation and outreach.
  • Develop, design, and deliver workshops to college students.
  • Provide culturally relevant psychological services to diverse student population, such as individuals that identify within the BIPOC student communities.
  • Provide training for psychology doctoral interns.

The annual salary for the position is $53,560 and it includes full benefits. The UCI Counseling Center has a long history of providing psychological services to the UCI campus community. UCI is a multiculturally rich environment and the Center prides itself on a staff that is competent and diverse. The Counseling Center provides time-limited treatment, assessment, outreach, and crisis intervention to the campus community. The Center is a part of the Division of Student Affairs and has an APA-accredited psychology internship program.
