General Summary
Secretarial support for the Associate Degree Nursing program.
Specific Position Duties
Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, and directs them to the proper person or office; Handles a large volume of phone calls in an efficient and courteous manner; Demonstrates high quality customer service for visitors, students and OC employees; Assists the ADN Director with clerical tasks; Maintains various databases for reports; Works with the ADN Director to maintain clinical requirements and relationships for students and faculty; Works with ADN Director to maintain class and faculty schedules; Works with the Nursing faculty to support instructional needs; Manages all incoming and outgoing mail; Performs word processing duties as required; Implements operational policies appropriate for the department; Arranges, participates in, and implements, as directed, conferences and committee meetings; Keeps financial records, assists with monitoring the budget; Develops reports and special projects as delegated; Assists with the organization, planning, and implementation of the department’s advisory committees; Maintains paper and electronic files relevant to the operation of the department; Delivers documents such as census day reports and grade reports to the registrar’s office, assuring that all documents are submitted for the department in a timely manner; Maintains clean and organized office space, including office equipment; Orders supplies as needed for the office area, work rooms, students spaces, and labs; Represents the College at events and meetings in a professional manner; Abides by College policies; Fosters a cooperative work environment; Performs various secretarial and miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Computer skills, including ability to work with commonly used office software applications, especially spreadsheets and data tables; Organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to work with a diverse team; and Ability to provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students.
Work Hours
Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:30 Friday 8:00-1:00 Summer Hours Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:30
