The Appalachian College of Pharmacy, a doctoral pharmacy school located in Oakwood, Virginia, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, 12-month entry level faculty/postdoctoral Position. This position requires teaching (didactic and experiential courses) in the areas of pharmaceutics, as well as independent and collaborative research.
The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline. Required skills include experience with analytical instrumentation such as UV-visible spectrophotometer, near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIR), and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Preferred qualifications include teaching in a pharmacy curriculum and laboratory instruction (compounding and/or integrated labs), publication in peer-reviewed journals, and experience in commercial pharmaceutical development and/or analysis.
