The Charlotte Childrens Center is seeking a passionate steward of Early Childhood Education to be the director of our play-based, Reggio-inspired school. Our non-profit center has been operating since 1984. The Center is open year round and serves children from 6 weeks through preschool. Our 4 STAR main campus is located in the heart of Charlotte, and is just mile away from our second location, a 5 STAR preschool program.Our Director partners with staff to inspire learning and leads a well-established and successful Center.
Duties include overseeing center operations and finances, supporting teachers in classrooms, and engaging with parents and the ECE community to continuously improve our non-profit organization. The position requires the ability to support the day-to-day operations of a high-quality Early Childhood Education program. The Director will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a passion for nurturing children and their families.The Director will be uniquely positioned to help shape the educational and operational vision for future development, including hiring and overseeing a Program Manager. A cadre of experienced staff and a passionate volunteer board of directors will support and share in this work.
