Summary of Position: The Director of Academic Youth Programs oversees various programs on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University catering to the K-12 population. This position is funded by a Lilly grant through June 30, 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with academic departments to accomplish strategic objectives
- Build relationships with organizations that serve under-served populations in Indiana and the local community
- Collaborate with multiple departments within IWU-Marion to accomplish objectives including Enrollment Management, Marketing, Admissions, Upward Bound and Conference Services
- Organize the details surrounding the implementation of the grant objectives. This includes day, weekend, and week-long events. Some events occur in the evenings and summers
- Direct camps as assigned including hiring, team leadership, participant interaction, schedule management and budget management
- Study ways to sustain the objectives of IWU academic youth programs after the grant ends
- Develop assessment tools
- Collect data and assist with the grant reporting process
- Supervisory responsibility for student workers, possible internship and practicum oversight
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required
Experience
- Professional experience in the field of or administration of education
- Participation in a non-profit organization that serves the under-served population is desired

- Training or experience in diversity and inclusion, preferred
