Applications are invited for a Specified Purpose post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor post in Agricultural and Food Economics within UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science
Applicants must have a PhD degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Economics, Business or a related discipline. The appointee will have specific expertise in Agricultural and Food Economics and/or Agricultural and Food Policy that is relevant to agriculture and food production in Ireland. They will be committed to further developing this expertise through academic research and engagement with industry partners, and to sharing this expertise through teaching undergraduate and graduate students. They will also be committed to developing their discipline in the School, University and wider community.
The successful applicant will coordinate and deliver a number of academic modules either in full or in partnership with other staff members. The Section delivers a range of undergraduate and graduate degree programmes in Food and Agribusiness Management, Food Business Strategy, Food Business with Chinese Studies, Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development, Agricultural Extension and Innovation, and Humanitarian Action. The successful applicant will also conduct original research appropriate to the objectives of the Section, School and University.
Salary: 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) € 55,951 - € 88,601 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
