Job Description
The KU School of Business is seeking a non-tenure track Lecturer(s) for the academic year 2022-23. Primary responsibilities are instructional in the area of International Business Management. Teaching assignments may include undergraduate and/or graduate courses offered by the School of Business on the Lawrence Campus, Edwards Campus, off campus programs, and/or online programs. Lecturers serve as participating members of departments and should engage in instruction-related activities beyond direct instruction.
FTE is determined by course load and may vary between .25 and 1.00. Ideally, position will be at least .50 FTE. Faculty are benefits eligible at .48 FTE or greater. Depending on applicant pool, the School is willing to consider multiple part-time candidates to provide high quality International Business instructional to students. Position(s) will begin August 18, 2022.

Job Description
80% Teaching. Teach one or more courses each fall and spring semester in International Business and/or Management. Courses may be required or electives, in undergraduate or graduate programs, and range from 1-4 credit hours. Duties include but are not limited to: course preparation, instruction, consultations, and assignment of grades. Lecturers should abide by the Management Area, Business School, and University policies and procedures.
20% Service. Participate in events, meetings, committees, and/or leadership roles as needed to support the Area, School, and University. Specific duties will vary by individual. Examples include leadership of student organizations, advising, attendance at school events, and working on curricular or other committees.

Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in International Business, Management, or related field.
- A demonstrated record of teaching in an academic setting or a record of mentorship, leadership or training experience in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in International Business, Management, or related field.
- A strong record of professional experience in International Business, Management, or related field.
- A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching courses in International Business.
- Experience with developing curriculum in Canvas and ability to design and deliver new courses successfully.
- Strong ties to the international business and/or management professional community as demonstrated by employment or consulting activities.
