Job Description

Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Lecturer in the Accounting/Business Law department. This position is for the 2022-2023 academic year and is a two-year appointment with the possibility of subsequent multi-year reappointments. Applications received by June 30, 2022 will receive fullest consideration. This search will remain open until filled.
The candidate would be expected to: teach 12 credits per semester; perform University service; maintain disciplinary currency; and advise students.

The Leon Hess Business School is Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited, and houses approximately 1,500 students instructed by 36 faculty members from the Departments of Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Real Estate, Management and Decision Sciences, and Marketing and International Business.

Doctoral degree

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Other Requirements:
A Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.

Strong commitment to teaching, especially at the undergraduate level.

Current licensure and professional activity that is sufficient to sustain currency and Instructional Practitioner (IP) status under AACSB standards

Preferred Qualifications:
Active license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or either an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting. A demonstrated ability to publish in academic journals.
