Job description
We are looking to appoint one Grade 5 University Tutor in Spanish to deliver two Honours Level Spanish Modules within the Tourism and Languages Subject Group for the academic sessions 2022/23 and 2023/24. The post will contribute to the ongoing delivery and assessment of our Languages portfolio whilst supporting our students during their final year of their BA (Hons) Languages programmes. It is expected that this post will commence in September 2022.

The role

You will join the Tourism and Languages Subject Group in the School under the leadership of Professor Paul Barron. This ambitious, growing team consists of academics on Enterprise, Learning and Teaching, Professional Practice and Research pathways who make significant contributions across all strands of endeavour. Your contribution on our Learning and Teaching pathway will be in the area of Spanish Language teaching.

You will be responsible for the delivery of one module per trimester to our final year students and thus contributing to our student-centred learning underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice within your assigned area of responsibility.

Who we are looking for

In addition to the role profile, the following criteria are essential:

• Sufficient breadth and depth of experience to support and develop high quality teaching/learning.
• Demonstrable evidence of Spanish teaching specialisation and experience.
