Administrative Assistant III
Status Full Time : FTE 1
Job Summary
With minimal supervision and direction, provide advanced secretarial support to administrative personnel. Using independent judgment, coordinate the clerical or student employees.
Required Qualifications
1. Thirty (30) college credits related to the position.
2. Two (2) years of experience as a secretary or related.
3. General clerical skills including accuracy in basic math, filing, proofreading, typing, spelling and data entry.
4. Ability to understand and operate appropriate office equipment, including personal computers and working knowledge of department-specific software.
5. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Ability to multitask.
7. Strong organizational and project management skills.
8. Good communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse population.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, diffuse emotionally charged interactions and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems, consumer concerns appropriate to this position level, and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
