Overview:

As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role is accountable for leading multiple staff teams and can build & maintain strong relationships with constituents while implementing innovative peer to peer fundraising products to exceed revenue goals for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission, within a designated market area. Relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.

Additional Position Information: Key Relationships: •Reports to: Senior Director, Campaign Development Community Initiatives•Supervises: Campaign Development Manager(s)•Leads:Volunteers & CommitteesAll LLS employees are required to provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 before beginning work at LLS unless a valid medical, religious, or other exemption is approved consistent with applicable law Responsibilities:

Mission Integration
  • Partner with Education Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the LLS overall mission, programs, resources and priorities.
  • Responsible for ensuring assigned markets deliver mission centered, high impact activities.
Staff Leadership & Development
  • Coach, model and train key staff in assigned Territory on initiative campaign standards and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director Community Celebrations to create and implement an innovative territory strategic plan annually and revise periodically to ensure team exceeds all revenue goals.
  • Oversee for the hiring, management, development & training of staff.
  • In partnership with Executive Directors and key region staff, lead the fundraising strategy for assigned Region.
  • Responsible for implementing a strong internal communication plan to keep all partner departments apprised of important information
  • Accountability for follow through of both internal and external deliverables
Volunteer Leadership & Development
  • Collaborate to grow volunteer and corporate relationships across the market and throughout LLS.
  • Partner with Region Executive Directors in the recruitment and cultivation of high-level volunteers and sponsors.
  • Responsible for the cultivation of high-level volunteer leadership.
  • Provide comprehensive volunteer support to ensure positive volunteer interaction.
  • Collaborate with Territory leadership to evaluate volunteer/committee performance against both campaign standards and execution of the event specific strategic roadmap.
Innovation in High Impact Fundraising
  • Accountable for achieving high-impact peer-to-peer fundraising revenue goals for the Territory.
  • In partnership with Territory Campaign Development Directors, lead the execution of fundraising strategies within assigned Territories.
  • Lead staff teams to identify potential sponsors, participates in sponsor meetings.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6-8 years of relatable experience
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Local travel up to 30%.
  • Required to work some evenings or weekends.
