The Department of Geography at the University of Lincoln seeks to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Human Geography. This post will support delivery of teaching and research across the Department. We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Has a strong academic profile related to understanding global systems and societies in particular with good knowledge of demographics, migratory processes and/ or cultures and their places.
  • Will engage in pure and/or applied research which will complement existing strengths within the department. The successful candidate would be expected to join one of our existing research groups.
  • Is an excellent communicator who will complement the department’s existing teaching. In particular, we are seeking someone who could support teaching both in specialist subject modules and across the wider BA and BSc Geography curricula.
  • Will work closely with other members of staff within the Department of Geography as well as external partners.
  • GIS and/or big data skills are desirable but not essential.
