Position Summary

The Program Manager within Global Initiatives reports to the Associate Director of Global Initiatives and Partnerships and works to provide across-the-board program coordination and support for all priorities within the Global Initiatives area, which includes: (1) Internationalizing the Gabelli Experience; (2) International Student Support; and (3) International Business Development.

Essential Functions

  • Works with and reports to the Associate Director of Global Initiatives and Partnerships to provide support in the execution of the International Strategy of the Gabelli School of Business.
  • Provides operational and logistical support for Executive MBA, Executive Education, the Student Managed Funds and the Student Advising functions. This includes, but is not limited to (1) working closely with Program Directors, Administrators and Faculty (2) securing classrooms and catering (3) ordering academic materials (4) coordinating external site visits and (5) providing onsite team coverage, including evenings and weekends.
  • Works closely with the MSF Collaborative Program Director and champions the program’s execution. This includes interfacing with Admissions, OIS, Catering, Conference Planning, Gabelli’s International Partners, and other relevant stakeholders on tasks such as: (1) arranging all housing and meals for collaborative and external master’s degree students; (2) procuring e-mail accounts, Fordham ID cards, and Banner profiles; (3) creating e-mail lists for ease of use for faculty; (4) coordinating admissions and acting as the main point of contact for representatives from partner schools; (5) handling the distribution of collaborative and external program diplomas and assisting partner schools with requests for transcripts and other documentation; and (6) overseeing the budget for collaborative and external programs’ residencies in New York and making spending decisions in line with Fordham’s and the partner schools’ needs and priorities.
  • Coordinates site visits for international delegations visiting the Gabelli School.
  • Supports the Associate Dean and Associate Director in the relationship management of all current and prospective Gabelli School Global Initiatives stakeholders and partners.
  • Maintains contact with Gabelli School faculty, Fordham faculty from other schools and colleges, and external instructors as needed regarding Global Initiatives Programming.
  • Enhances the Gabelli School’s reputation in the internationalization landscape by providing high levels of service at all times to students, partners, clients, participants, faculty, and other stakeholders.
  • Helps the Associate Director and other key administrators to analyze the state of best practices, and emerging trends in Global Education.
  • Serves as a primary liaison between the Global Initiatives area and the Gabelli School MarComm area, coordinating content for potential visibility opportunities, such as social media posts, articles, media features, etc.
  • Serves as the primary events coordinator for the Global Initiatives area, supporting all three subunits in the successful facilitation of programs throughout the year through tasks including, but not limited to, space reservations, publicity, communication with stakeholders, catering, media/IT requests, etc.
  • Fulfills administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, office communications, filing, supply procurement, etc.
  • Performs other related tasks as necessary, which may include working extended hours from time to time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, ideally in an organization with similar objectives.
  • Ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business development and/or account / partnership management.
