In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Job Description:

The Culinary, Hospitality Management, Nutrition and Dietetics seek a P/T Technical Assistant. The incumbent will assist faculty and students in the operation of equipment in student laboratories; store and repair instructional equipment; and prepare requisitions for supplies and materials, as instructed. S/he will also set up laboratory and machine shop equipment for class use and replenish supplies and check availability of apparatus for class use. Assisting with clerical duties is an additional responsibility. S/he may also perform other incidental tasks, as needed.


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a high school or equivalency diploma and one year of experience in area of specialty.

PREFERRED QUAIFICATIONS:  ServSafe certification strongly preferred.


Additional Information:

WORK SCHEDULE:   The work schedule will be up to 28 hours per week. Flexibility, with some evenings and Saturdays, required.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY:  $13.50/hour. No benefits.
