Odessa College Theatre is now hiring a part-time, summertime Assistant Technical Director. Working under the supervision of the Technical Director, the Assistant Technical Director is responsible for insuring that the best possible product goes on stage through implementing all scenic technical requirements within the pre-established budget parameters. The Assistant Technical Director is also responsible for the management of the Odessa College Theatre’s Scene Shop.

Must be a able to assist in carpentry/welding with excellent management, supervisory, and communication skills. Able to evaluate designer’s drawings, cost out productions, drafting skills (manual and computer), rigging skills, and labor/time estimates. Must be able to manage an active scene shop including build schedule and production demands. Valid driver’s license. Knowledge of electronics, hydrolics and automation/motor controls a plus.
