Full Job Description

The Institute is a non-profit college offering post-secondary education to anyone interested in funeral service as a career. Currently, we are looking for a campus President to serve its mission of providing exceptional education experience for its students and work experience for its employees as well as a background in Title IV.

Role and Expectations

The Campus President (President) is responsible for the academic quality, operational effectiveness, student success, and broad growth of the campus. The President will be accountable to drive the college’s objectives, ensure ethics and policies are upheld, promote student success, effective management, enhancing the colleges mission, overall operations, existing and new traditions, creating an environment that engages staff, developing a positive school culture that is aligned with college’s mission and objectives, through day-to-day operations and short-and long-range planning and action. The President is accountable for administrative process throughout the campus and predictable financial performance. The President will have an active role in developing alumni, development of high-quality academic programs, securing external resources, community positive awareness, among other duties. The President will be accountable for budgets and ensuring the campus stays within budgetary limits. The President is responsible for upholding law, rules, and regulations within state, local, federal, accreditation bodies, and or any authorized higher education agency. The President will report directly to the Pierce Mortuary College’s, Inc. President and CEO.

Job Description

  • Responsible for campus leadership and must be competent to establish conditions providing for proper learning opportunities for students, good working conditions for faculty, and good communication processes both inside and outside of the institution
  • Maintain accreditation and approvals with national and state agencies
  • Ensure employee and campus compliance with all policies and procedures of the institution and Pierce Mortuary Colleges, Inc.
  • Handle campus Employee Relations issues
  • Responsible for monthly/annual forecasting of staffing, enrollments, and operational costs
  • Oversee a system of program planning and assessment that ensures student success, engagement, satisfaction, and overall success in the programs offered
  • Make recommendations of annual plans and fiscal year budgets for the campus that include campus development, growth, annual revenue, student body size and goals
  • Audit student enrollment and financial aid paperwork

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Possess knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines concerning a non-public post-secondary educational institution
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
  • 5+ years managing direct reports
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and students
  • Business Management Experience
