Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
The College of Business and Information Science is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate level in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance. This position is in the area of Accounting.

Duties include the following:

  • Teaching a variety of accounting courses
  • Advising students and student organizations
  • Conducting research for publications in peer refereed journals and grant generation
  • Participating in community outreach activities

Qualifications:

  • PhD/DBA in accounting or related field from an AACSB accredited institution. CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in accounting.
  • All candidates must meet current AACSB. Scholarly Academic and Participating Status requirements.
  • ABDs must have a dissertation proposal before joining Tuskegee University, have one year to complete the doctorate, and will be appointed as Clinical Faculty.
  • Upon completion ofthe doctoral degree, faculty will be changed to the rank of Assistant Professor- Tenure Track.
  • Associate level candidates must have a record of reputable peer refereed journals and success with grant generation.
  • Experience teaching at the university level is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Salary
Commensurate with education, training and experience.

Additional Information:
Faculty will participate in additional activities as stipulated in the Faculty Handbook (ex. convocations, commencements, and all university conference)
Other duties as assigned.
