The community you’ll be caring for: Waterman Development and Fundraising Foundation
Responsible for providing executive leadership for an independent 501c3. Working in coordination with the Foundation Board of Trustees, Foundation Vice President and Hospital CEO on strategic, long-range planning to ensure future growth of the Foundation and furtherance of mission. Areas of fundraising expertise include annual, major, and planned giving, capital campaigns, special events and innovative fundraising initiatives. Responsible for Foundation operations to include staffing, budgeting, fiscal accountability, board governance and compliance. Serve as AdventHealth Waterman Executive Team liaison for fundraising strategy and serve as leadership oversight for the AdventHealth Waterman Auxiliary and Gift Shop business and staff. Accountable for exemplifying Leadership Standards of Behavior to patients, donors, trustees, visitors, auxilians, physicians, co-workers, and vendors.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- As the Foundation Executive Director, candidate is responsible for ensuring the continued financial and operational success of the independent 501c3 corporation, registered in the State of Florida, by developing appropriate strategies and implementing successful fundraising techniques to maintain a healthy, continual stream of philanthropic support and engaged donors.
- Maintain current understanding and adherence of all State of Florida solicitation laws, required certifications, and risk management practices.
- Provide financial oversight of Foundation investments to ensure the team of external money managers is complying with Foundation investment policies to protect and grow assets.
- Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources as needed to achieve strategic goals.
- Implement, adhere, and maintain internal control documents for the Foundation financial and administrative record keeping
- Provide executive leadership and guidance to the volunteer Board of Trustees to ensure the board's directives, policies and resolutions are carried out.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelors degree
- 10+ years of related experience
