QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Associate's degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher learning in an area of business or related studies. Computer efficient with excellent customer service skills and prior experience working with a team.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Associate's degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher learning in an area of business or related studies with three years’ experience working in an administrative assistant role. Demonstrated success working with a team. Prior experience and knowledge of BANNER, Microsoft Office and Excel.

JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION: Responsible for processing applications and other documentation for admission to the College and assisting prospective students through this process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and assist prospective and current students, faculty and staff with admissions, transcript and graduation processes.
  • Responsible for admitting international students
  • Responsible for entering data and tracking the status of all international students in the SEVIS System
  • Receives and processes applications for new and returning students
  • Enters data in students’ records (ACT scores, high school and college transcripts, residency information, etc.)
  • Review and prepare students records for audits
  • Works with personnel from other offices who need information on students
  • Answers the telephone and the college Admissions email account and responds with appropriate information regarding admission and record statuses
  • Responsible for assisting, scoring and returning ACT Residual Tests
  • Prepares reports to identify students who do not satisfy admission requirements
  • Assists in registration process
  • Makes admission-related data changes in computer
  • Sends admission status letters to all new and returning students
  • Performs ACT uploads
  • Assists with audit process
  • Assists with commencement rearsals and commencement ceremonies
  • Assists with student orientation
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate authority
