Under the direction of the Graduation Coordinator, work with student populations who are eligible for auto awarding. Accurately input data. Demonstrate strong understanding and knowledge of academic records policy and procedure, including graduation. Work closely with the Banner and DegreeWorks reports. Provide assistance to students and staff. Communicate effectively in-person and with email correspondence. Perform Graduation office processes and functions.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Enter large amounts of data into student information system. Work closely with Banner, DegreeWorks, and Excel reports for auto awarding process. Determine and ensure accuracy of student information and academic history with the understanding of course description, credit hours, programs, majors, and schools.
Evaluate audits for graduation. Assist students and faculty over the phone or by email. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Perform other functions pertaining to the Graduation office. Work with confidential student records.
Assure accurate responses to questions regarding student’s academic history. Guarantee that policies and procedures are followed, and student needs are met through courteous and effective customer service. Follow through and solve academic dilemmas. Communicate with sometimes frustrated students.
Check for errors in past graduation audits from previous semesters. Update students audits on an as needed basis.
Process program exceptions on DegreeWorks. File all Corresponding, OJT hours, and Program Exception emails into Etrieve.
Correspond and communicate with a variety of persons through letters, email, phone and in person contact. Work closely with the Graduation office and the Transfer Evaluation office. Work with Program Exceptions office. Assist in the processes of Next Steps and Reverse Transfer.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalence
One one year work experience in a student services or customer service environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of:
College Catalog to include Academic requirements, course description, credit hours, programs, majors, and schools.
College departmental policies and procedures, specific to job responsibilities.
Student Information Systems
DegreeWorks
MySLCC and college web site knowledge.
PC compatible computers
Adobe Software
Microsoft Word processing and Excel spreadsheet software.
