Veterinary Technician in the small animal Intermediate Care Unit of the NC State Veterinary Hospital. Will provide patient care, post-operative care, drug administration, and controlled drug administration.

Minimum Experience/Education

Prefer at least 1-year veterinary technician experience.

Department Required Skills

At least I year of previous veterinary technician experience, patient care, IV catheter placement, and medication administration. Great communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Experience with catheter placement, blood administration, fluid therapy experience, restraint, refer 3 years of veterinary technician experience. Prefer specialty medicine experience.
