Vaccine Protocol

Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Associate Director (Chief of Staff) has a large scale of duties that consist of supporting the Dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business on matters of importance and plays a high-profile role across the School. The Chief of Staff serves as the day-to-day operational leader in the Dean’s Office and works collaboratively with the Senior Associate Dean, Associate Dean, Department Chairs, and other leadership team members to ensure advancement of the School’s mission and initiatives. This positions incudes program and project management, direct contact with high level donors, alumni and constituents; and entails a high level of responsibility and a more detailed level of authority and visibility.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with 5 to 10 years of administrative experience in higher education
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to problem-solve, collaborate, and work independently
  • The ability to initiate needed changes in work processes
  • 3-4 years’ experience managing a team.

  • Advanced knowledge and use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and other standard software to create complex documents and materials requiring
  • the interpretation and manipulation of data to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google calendar.
