Vaccine Protocol

Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

This 10-hour GA position will focus on two main duties. First, the
GA will oversee Academic Peer Coaching for Transfer Students. Second, the GA will support transfer student success in the A. James Clark School of Engineering by providing data and metrics to the Program Director for Transfer Student Advising & Admissions, the Associate Dean, and the college. Specific duties will include: Supervising the Academic Peer Coaches, providing training
materials and workshop templates to the Academic Peer Coaches, providing ongoing professional development to the Academic Peer Coaches; additionally, the GA will review GPA, retention, and
student success trends for transfer students in the Clark School. The GA will provide data reports regarding student success to the college as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current enrollment as a full-time student in a University of Maryland
(College Park) graduate program is required. Graduate students in any major or college are eligible to apply; although, preference will be given to a student enrolled in an engineering graduate program. Applicants must be proficient in Excel and should feel comfortable performing basic data analysis using pivot charts, etc. Successful applicants will also have prior experience in a leadership role (e.g., tutor, athletic coach, peer mentor, etc.).


Preferences: The successful applicant will have prior experience in one of the following areas: tutoring, peer mentoring, athletic coaching, academic coaching, curriculum development, and data analysis. The ideal applicant will have the ability to work collaboratively and independently and should be able to get along with many individuals.
