Minimum Qualifications

PhD, MD or DVM and 0 to 3 years of related experience are required.  The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EE Salary minimum $47,476

Preferred Qualifications

Potential candidates should have Ph.D. or M.D. degree and strong background in microbiology, cell immunology and inflammation. Practical experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques and animal tumor models is required. Expertise in flow cytometry and bioinformatic analysis is desirable.

Position Description

Grant Funded Position. Renewed annually contingent on funding.

Position will be responsible for the project that involves studies using human samples and rodent models to understand the impacts of edible plant exosomes on gut microbiota function on immune regulation, inflammation and liver/brain disease, and therapeutic manipulation of these interactions. We employ genetic mouse models, primary cell cultures, molecular, and proteomics approaches for our work. The individual should also independently collect, organize, and perform statistical analysis of data generated from the experiments. A number of exciting projects are available in the areas of colitis immunology and alcoholic-related gut/brain inflammation.
