Our academic programs include a BS in Exercise Physiology, BS in Health Fitness Specialist, BS in Physical Education, BS in Sports Studies, MAEd in Physical Education, MS in Kinesiology and a PhD in Bioenergetics and Exercise Science. All of our programs are fully accredited.
| Job Duties | The postdoctoral scholar is responsible for managing the Multi-institution APA Mentorship Consortium (MAMC) funded by US Department of Education and independent and collaborative development, implementation, and analysis of scientific research in the discipline of adapted physical activity. Responsibilities include management of all aspects of MAMC including but not limited to (a) collect, prepare and submit scholar data, (b) collect and prepare progress reports, and other reports required by funding agency, © organize enrichment program (e.g. online seminar, summer institute, exchange program), (d) manage online platform to disseminate the activities of MAMC, (e) communicate with all subcontract institutions, (f) assist faculty for mentoring doctoral scholars supported by this project, (f) initiate independent research, (g) collaborate and support research projects within MAMC, and (h) provide instruction if needed. The purposes of MAMC are training highly qualified leaders in adapted physical activity to train pre-service physical education teachers and related service professionals to appropriately educate youth with disabilities in public school and increasing research capacity in Adapted Physical Activity. The post-doctoral scholar is expected to play a significant role of the purposes of this project. Approximately 70% of the postdoctoral scholar’s time will be devoted to management of the Multi-institution APA Mentorship Consortium. Approximately 30 % of the postdoctoral scholar’s time will be devoted engaged in independent and collaborative research within the MAMC.
