Job Summary

Provide Audio/Visual technical production support for multimedia events and video productions. Maintain equipment inventories and provide tech support for college video/audio/computer services. Provide additional support connected with SLCC Video Conferencing systems, Web Conferencing Systems, Teleconferencing and EDNET systems in response to requests from SLCC faculty, staff and administration as well as other educational and government users and off-campus commercial clients.

Ensure live-streamed meetings and events are set up correctly. Must monitor connectivity throughout video conference and maintain confidentiality of video conference content. Provide troubleshooting and escalate advanced troubleshooting and connectivity issues to team lead.

Assist with Classroom Technology where applicable.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Set up, operate, trouble shoot, and care for technical media equipment. Project professional and competent bearing, and understand the client relations. Be able to plan and execute complex productions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associates degree or other advanced degree
- Experience with Blackmagic Design systems
- Experience with YouTube Live, Twitch, and Facebook Live
- Experience with professional AV system integration products (e.g. Extron, Crestron)
- Experience with classroom presentation technology (VIA Kramer, projectors, etc.)
- Greater knowledge of TV productions, computer and networking literacy. More TV producing experience.

Minimum Qualifications

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Trade off 1:1 in experience/education requirement.
- Ability to move 40 pounds, ability to carry equipment, run cables, and do general location production tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people.
- Computer skills including video and audio production, MS Office, and basic networking.
- Part-time experience may be considered on a prorated basis

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Proficient with web based streaming & video conferencing tools
- Skilled with scheduling resources and logistics
- Proficient with basic computer operating system usage, including Windows, Macintosh, and/or Linux operating platforms
- Proficient with standard word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet computer applications
- Understands basics of networking, Internet Protocols, and routing.
- Experience with video camera and recording system operation
- Proficient with budget / cost proposal preparation for clients
- Excellent public relations skills .
- Must communicate well through voice mail, e-mail, in person and via memos as required
- Works effectively under very stressful situations.
- Can adapt to change on short notice and manage time effectively.
- Ability to collect data, write and prepare reports and system documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Understanding of video conferencing systems and interoperating with remote locations
- Understanding of AV integration systems
- Ability to work with clients in real-time, dealing with any issues that may come up during events
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
