Salary range for Registered Nurses
- Hourly range for Registered Nurses (0-11 months experience) $33.58/hr
- Hourly range for Registered Nurses (12+ months experience) $33.64-$52.08/hr
- Evening Shift Differential- $2.55 per hour
- Night Shift Differential- $3.40 per hour
- Weekend Differential- $1.75 per hour

This 32 bed unit provides care to patients on the Neurology, Neurosurgery and includes an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit as well and a 6-bed stroke unit with cardiac monitoring.
The unit provides care for the following diagnoses: brain and spinal cord tumors, epilepsy, stroke, cerebral aneurysm, neuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis, head and spinal cord trauma.

This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Current Michigan RN license for all candidates that have passed the NCLEX.
**GN applicants will be considered for this position. The selected Graduate Nurse candidate will have 45 days from date of hire to successfully pass the NCLEX for Michigan RN licensure.

Three to five (3 - 5) years neuro experience

Hours: 36 hours (0.9 FTE) per week with every other weekend
Shift: Nights, 8 and 12 hour shifts
Location: University Hospital-4A, Neurology and Neurosurgery
All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census
This is a multi-unit RN position, which involves staffing assignments on multiple units, per the agreement with UMPNC, Section H, page 55, Multi-Unit Positions.
Units for this position include 4A Neurology/Stroke/Neurosurgical and 4B Surgical . The home unit will be 4A Neurology/Stroke/Neurosurgical; holidays and PTO will be determined from the home unit.
The RN can be scheduled on both units, based on the unit's staffing needs and will be expected to staff on either unit, as needed.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
