The Stukenberg lab at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a new Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The Stukenberg lab focuses on the study of mechanisms of chromosome segregation their dysregulation in cancer. The Postdoctoral Research Associate focuses on the the study of microtubule substructures of the mitotic spindle using both in vitro and in vivo techniques. Working with the PI the Post Doc documents experimental results and present findings in lab meetings. They assist students in the lab and provide additional support for lab staff.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or MD by start date of the appointment

  • Preference will be given to applicants with published papers in peer reviewed journals

  • Applicants with previous experience in working with microtubules either in vitro or in vivo are highly encouraged to apply.

The selected applicant will be required to complete a background check and health assessment per University policy.

** This is a one year renewable appointment **
