Responsibilities* Essential: - Completes activities and processes associate with the intake and management of organ allocation offersand required responses in accordance with applicable practices, protocols, and policies.
- Completes scheduling, coordination, and transplantation of accepted organs in accordance with applicable practices, protocols, and policies.
- Completes transplant candidate wait list additions, management, and associated communications in accordance with applicable practices, protocols, and policies.
- Assists in the onboarding and training of team members.
- Assists with assigned Quality and regulatory compliance efforts, initiatives, and workgroups.
RELATED DUTIES - Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED - General supervision is received from Nursing Supervisor or other designee(s).
Required Qualifications* • Minimum of 3-5 years organ donation, transplant, or combined work experience. • Working towards American Board of Transplant Coordinators certification within 2-years of hire. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS None Work Schedule Days and evenings. Background Screening Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
