| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Project Coordinator ll to support two collaborative laboratories in the School of Arts and Sciences Department of Kinesiology & Health: Rutgers Sleep Lab (RSL) and the Cardiac Neuroscience Lab (CNL). The Research Project Coordinator ll assists the Laboratory Directors/Project PIs in conducting research with human participants and managing day-to-day lab activities. Among the key duties of this position are:
- Research elements, including recruitment, screening, and scheduling of potential participants, hands-on human subject data collection, data entry and database management, and incentive tracking.
- Administrative elements, including IRB submissions and research compliance documents, ordering and purchasing, and maintains/tracks existing equipment.
- Management of undergraduate student research assistants.
- Support data analysis, professional conference submissions, and manuscript preparation.

| COVID-19 Immunization Requirement | Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility . Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

| Certifications/Licenses | | Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | - Good communication skills, English fluency, and computer literacy are required.
- Experience with IRB submissions/compliance, scientific data collection and entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe.
- Experience performing data analysis with statistical software packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS).
- Proven ability to accomplish tasks independently.
- Team management experience.
- Adaptable, fast learner with demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong writing skills.
| Preferred Qualifications | - A Master’s degree involving scientific research or at least 2 years of full-time research experience with human subjects.
- It is preferred that applicants have experience in research related to health behaviors and human physiology.
- Experience working in higher education research and teaching environment preferred.
| Equipment Utilized | - It is preferred that applicants have experience working with ECG, psychophysiology equipment and post-processing software, wrist actigraphy, polysomnography, waist accelerometry, and/or working with a Clinical Research Center to collect blood and metabolic data.
| Physical Demands and Work Environment | - This position will primarily be conducted at the computer in an office setting, however it will also involve meeting with participants and research staff members around campus, posting flyers for recruitment etc.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
