Recruitment/Posting Title | Post Doctoral Assistant | Department | Engn - Biomedical Engineering | Salary | Open | Posting Summary | The laboratories of Prof’s Prabhas Moghe and Mark Pierce are seeking a post-doc to join an ongoing project focused on the development, application, and commercialization of optical nanoparticles for use as biomedical contrast agents. The position will involve nanoparticle synthesis using established methods, administration of nanoparticles to murine models of cancer with partnering labs, and in vivo imaging of these models using prototype hardware. The project will offer the postdoc opportunities to develop technical lab skills, grant writing skills, and gain commercialization experience. Graduate training in the physical sciences, biological sciences, or engineering is required. Prior experience in nanoparticle chemistry, small animal models, optical imaging, or cancer biology is desirable. The position is supported by funding from Rutgers University and the NIH.
| COVID-19 Immunization Requirement | Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility . Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
